Kriterio

Stop reading freelance briefs that don't pay enough

Most briefs fail on the first number: the budget. Kriterio reads the job post for you and says Bid, Ask first or Walk away before you write a word of your proposal, with the reason in one sentence.

Add to Chrome, it's free

How it works

  1. Add Kriterio to Chrome and pick the Work preset.
  2. Set your floor: a minimum fixed budget (default $500) and a minimum hourly rate ($35), plus the most revision rounds you'll accept (3).
  3. Open a job post on Freelancer.com, PeoplePerHour, Contra, Guru, Workana or any other board, and click the Kriterio icon or press Alt+Shift+D.
  4. Get the call with the reason. If the budget isn't stated, it says so and gives you a question to ask the client, instead of guessing.

What it checks

  • In code, every time: the fixed budget, the hourly rate and the revision count. Under your floor is always Walk away.
  • By the AI, quoting the page: whether the pay is stated at all, whether “done” is defined, and whether a big project is being priced like a small one.
  • Where: the Work preset turns on by itself on Freelancer.com, PeoplePerHour, Contra, Guru, Workana and Upwork. On any other job board, open the panel and choose Work.

Questions

Does it bid or send proposals?

No. It reads the brief you opened and shows an answer next to it. It never clicks, bids or messages anyone.

What if the budget is in euros or pounds?

Pick the currency your limit is in. A budget in a different currency shows amber and asks, instead of being converted silently.

What does it cost?

Free covers all presets with your own limits and 25 checks a week. Pro ($12/month) adds your own rules in plain words, Compare for your open tabs, deep check and 100 checks a day.
